OUR CARPET CLEANING PROCESS

Walk-thru & Inspection: When we first arrive, you'll be greeted with a friendly smile. We will begin to go over the scope of work and ask you to walk us through the areas that we are cleaning. At this time, if there are any areas of concern please let us know. We will more likely ask you questions about spots to help us identify them so that we can prepare any specialty spotting products needed to remove the spots. We will also educate you on our other services but please do not feel pressured by this. We firmly believe that educating you on all that we offer is beneficial for you as our goal is to help you keep your home clean. If there is a service we provide that can help you achieve that goal we want to let you know. We believe it would be a disservice to not do so.

Pre-Vacuum: Dry soil removal is one of the crucial steps to a great carpet cleaning. There are many companies who don't do this. The reason we feel it is so important is because carpet cleaning solutions are designed to penetrate the carpet fibers and loosen soil that has began to bond to the fiber. If our cleaning solution is working on breaking up soil that can be easily removed, it isn't as effective at helping to remove the more stubborn soils. You are more than welcome to vacuum before we arrive but please do not feel like you have to.

Furniture Moving: We kindly ask that you remove small items out of the areas we will be cleaning before we arrive, and secure any breakables as well. We can slide most furniture out from its original position, clean underneath, and then place plastic tabs or styrofoam blocks under the legs. This ensures no damage will occur to the furniture from the slightly damp carpet, and that the carpet doesn’t become damaged from a wooden or metal leg. We will not move large items such as beds, dressers, entertainment stands, china cabinets, anything with electronics on it, and items of the like. This is for our safety and for the safety of those items. We can slide and move couches, loveseats, chairs, and end tables.

Pre-Conditioning & Spotting: We apply a safe cleaning solution to the entire carpet that helps us to break up the stubborn soiling that has bonded to the carpet fibers. At this time we’ll also address any special spots/stains with our spotting products. We’re educated and trained on how to identify and remove stains, there are times a stain may be permanent, however, we have a high success rate at removing most spots/stains.

Agitation: In some situations, we may employ the use for agitation to help break up soil even further. This step allows our cleaning solutions to really penetrate and loosen the dirt and soiling in the carpet. Just another step to make sure we're doing as much as possible to give you the best clean we can.

Cleaning & Soft Water Rinsing: We use our truck-mounted carpet cleaning machine to rinse and extract the soil from the carpet. We use soft water that has been processed through an industrial water softener system. This softened water provides us with a better clean and we do not have to use products that have softening agents in them. What this means for you is carpet that is cleaner and softer that will stay cleaner even longer.

Fast-Drying: We want to get the carpet dry quickly so you can get back to normal life with as little interruption as possible. We do multiple dry extraction passes that remove excess moisture from the carpet, but we also use carpet drying fans to aid in the process.

Carpet Protector & Groom: We offer carpet protection application after your carpet is cleaned as an additional optional service. Carpet protector creates an “invisible shield” that helps your vacuum remove the soils that build up over time. It also penetrates the fiber improving your carpet’s stain resistance. Those who have carpet protectors applied after cleaning notice their carpet lasting 50% longer which means saving on the cost of early replacement.

PET STAIN & ODOR REMOVAL
There are times during the carpet cleaning process where we encounter pet stains and odors. No need to worry as we do have the training and the right products to deal with these types of issues. If urine is not dealt with properly the stain can keep returning over and over again. When urine leaves the pet's body it comes out close to a neutral pH. After it has had time to dry it then becomes very basic on pH scale and that is where the ammonia smell comes from. The urine dries into a crystal-like substance so in order for the urine to be removed it requires a product that can break up that urine crystal and it requires a natural enzyme to start to digest the proteins in the urine as well. Where most homeowners fail is that they attempt to use store bought products that can compound the issue and do not really deal with urine at the molecular level. The worst part of our job as a trusted cleaning company is informing a client that they may have or have permanently damaged their carpet. We urge you to let us the professionals handle these issues but please know that you can call us so that we can advise you of proper steps to take if you want to handle it yourself. We will guide you in a way so that if we need to address the issue, we still can have a high success rate of removal.
We offer two type odor removal treatment - topical and restorative removal.

TOPICAL ODOR REMOVAL
For our topical pet odor removal process we use a product that helps to break down the urine salt crystals so that they can be more easily removed from the carpet. We apply the product topically and we allow it to dwell to give it plenty of time to work. We then take the sub-surface extraction tool that allows us to remove the urine from the padding, carpet backing, and the carpet face yarn. We can the areas multiple times until we see that no more urine is coming out. We then deal with any remaining staining with our specialty spotting products.
RESTORATION ODOR REMOVAL
This process is best for when our furry loved one has been a repeat offender. The issue then becomes that the urine has soaked through the carpet, the backing, and now is being absorbed into the subfloor. First, we will disengage the carpet and pull it back so that we can easily identify the problem area from the back of the carpet. We remove the padding and discard it. Next we clean and treat the subfloor with a sealing product that doesn't allow the urine to penetrate back through leaving the urine contained and dormant. Once the sealing product dries we treat the carpet backing and face yarns as we do in our topical odor removal process. Next, we'll replace the removed pad and re-install the carpet. Finally, we'll clean the carpet and deal with any staining that remains.

UPHOLSTERY CLEANING
UPHOLSTERY CLEANING
Upholstery and other furniture are often the most neglected items when it comes to regular cleaning. In fact, much to our surprise, many people do not know that upholstery and furniture can be professionally cleaned. For home maintenance, a thorough vacuuming with a brush attachment helps to remove the dust and soil that settles on and into the fabric. If you want to see how soiled your upholstery is, take a clean white terry towel and place it over your vacuum attachment hose. Be sure to firmly grip it so that it doesn't get sucked into the vacuum.
While the vacuum is running and the white terry towel is firmly grasped, run it over the arms, seats, and back of your upholstery. If it leaves a dark ring on the towel it is a good sign that it is time to have it professionally cleaned. Upholstery fabric is thin and can require special cleaning agents to properly clean the fabric so that it doesn't become damaged. We can clean everything from common microfiber to more fine fabrics such as cotton. We recommend having your upholstery cleaned regularly to keep up with appearance and for better indoor air quality.
TILE & GROUT CLEANING
I know that we've all done it - spent a good part of the afternoon or maybe even a weekend on our hands and knees with a bucket of soapy water and brush scrubbing grout lines. For all of us that have we know just how back-breaking this can be and how we can ache in all places for days to come. Our tile and grout cleaning process will save your back and your time and we can usually restore your tile and grout to around 90% and remove the soil and most staining. If your tile and grout were sealed after installation that ups the odds in our favor, and if it wasn't sealed we may need to take a restorative approach to the cleaning.
OUR PROCESS
Inspection & Testing: First we identify what tile it is that we're cleaning. Some types of tile can react differently to various cleaning agents and some need a bit more aggressive approach to get them really clean. We also want to look for loose or broken tiles and missing or damaged grout. We also look for topical coatings such as wax and the use of household cleaners that leave a shine or residue.
Pre-treat: We use a cleaning solution specifically made for the tile type installed in your home. The cleaning solution begins to break up the soil and penetrate into the grout lines to bring the soils that have absorbed into the grout to the surface for removal.

TILE & GROUT CLEANING
Agitation: We have a variety of methods that we use to work the cleaning solution. At this time, we'll scrub the grout lines and the tile face itself if needed to break up as much soiling as possible.
Rinsing: After the cleaning solution and agitation have done their job we rinse the floor with a self-contained cleaning disk. This tile and grout cleaning tool gives us the benefits of a pressure washer without the mess as it contains the spraying and quickly vacuums it up all at the same time. Our cleaning machine reaches temperatures of up to 230 degrees. This high temperature helps to loosen the soil further but after the floor has been rinsed it brings it to a sanitary level.
Restorative Treatment: If the previous steps haven't given us the results we're looking to achieve we then apply another cleaning solution. This restorative cleaning solution is made to readily remove the embedded soil layer thereby renewing the surface of the grout.
Speed Drying: We will use fans designed to dry tile and grout floors quickly. We do this so that you can get back to normal more quickly.
Sealing: We utilize a penetrating tile and grout sealer to seal your floors. Our product actually absorbs into the grout and creates a barrier of protection. Liquids will bead on top of the grout line making them easier to remove. The tile and grout sealing product also inhibits any dyes in that liquid from permanently staining the grout.
COMMERCIAL CLEANING

COMMERCIAL CARPET CLEANING
COMMERCIAL CARPET CLEANING
We offer fully customized carpet maintenance programs that will fit your needs and your budget. We offer both hot water extraction(steam cleaning) and low moisture encapsulation cleaning methods. What that means for you is that we can put together a plan to make your carpeting last long term. Carpet traffic can vary in your building from area to area and floor to floor, and soiling levels can vary as well. Factors that affect soiling levels are, how many hard surface to carpet transitions are there, do you utilize walk-off mats when transitioning from hard surface to carpet, what type of facility or business do you have. Manufacturing facilities will usually be more heavily soiled and present us with soiling that has a lot of dust and even possibly grease. No matter the soiling type we have a solution for it. Typically, we clean major traffic areas in our clients' buildings multiple times a year to keep up with appearance as needed. We offer programs that include monthly cleanings to bi-annual carpet cleaning. Our main concern is that your carpet is clean and that you have a healthy work environment to work in. Call us today and schedule a walk through of your building so we can discuss your carpet cleaning needs.

JANITORIAL CLEANING SERVICE
JANITORIAL CLEANING SERVICE
We also offer customized janitorial cleaning programs. Just like carpet cleaning, janitorial is much the same. Cleaning frequency is based on the needs of the business, the amount of traffic and use, and the budget. We provide everything from 5 days a week service to 1 day a week deep cleans. We also utilize our own cleaning solutions, equipment, and supplies. We do our absolute best to meet special requirements for every business we work with. For instance, some may require the use of specific sanitizing or disinfecting agents. We have high standard quality control programs in place so that we are delivering the highest level of cleaning possible. Each janitorial cleaning account is assigned a quality control supervisor who does inspections at every cleaning. Our janitorial cleaning programs consist of the following services: high and low dusting, kitchen and appliance cleaning, mopping of hard surfaces, desk cleaning, trash removal, bathroom cleaning, and restocking. Finally, we offer both daytime and nighttime cleaning schedules that will not disrupt your flow of work. Our goal is to let our high level of quality be seen through our workmanship, yet not be seen to where normal operations flow smoothly for your company.

RESTROOM TILE SANITATION
RESTROOM TILE SANITATION
The restroom in any building or facility is one of the more bacteria-laden areas for reasons we are sure we all understand. However, restroom sanitation solutions that are offered by many companies do not truly deal with the problem. They offer solutions that mask the issue with aerosols and other masking agents. We believe in getting the root of the problem at the source. If a restroom has been poorly maintained it can take some time to get it up to par, especially when dealing with urine odor. When urine absorbs into the tile it will travel deeper and deeper into the tile and into the grout. To combat this, we use enzymatic cleaning solutions that penetrate into the tile and begin the digest the bacteria in the urine so that we can begin to remove it. As mentioned, depending on the severity multiple cleanings may be needed to bring the restroom to a manageable level. Different tile types and different grout types also are major factors. One of the more common issues we see is that some janitorial companies apply a finish or wax to the tile in an attempt to fix this issue. For tile and grout, this will only make the problem worse and much harder to fix. As will all of our commercial cleaning services, we offer custom-tailored cleaning frequencies for our restroom sanitation service.

POST CONSTRUCTION CLEANING
POST CONSTRUCTION CLEANING
There is nothing more refreshing than a brand new building to work in, an addition, or even renovations to update the look, flow, and feel of a building. After all of the drywall, electrical, painting, flooring installation, and other contracting services are done. There is still more work to be done and that is after or post-construction cleanup. After construction, there is typically a thin layer of dust covering everything from top to bottom. You certainly don't want to be breathing that in while working and you definitely don't want it on any new furniture or computer equipment. That is where we come in. We offer construction clean-up where we can utilize a combination of our commercial cleaning services to make your new working space as clean as possible. We find that the best approach is to work from top to bottom which includes dry and wet dusting of fixtures, lights, and trim. We also offer wall washing if it is needed and can also wet wash trim, doors, and baseboards. Most standard shop vacs - even the ones with filters will simply just blow the dust around. That is why we use HEPA vacuums when cleaning up drywall dust. The HEPA filtration ensures that only clean air is coming back out. Our main goal with our post-construction clean-up service is that you have a new clean and healthy environment to work in.

“Elite Carpet Cleaning and Janitorial Services arrived on time and provided excellent customer service. I have a Hoover carpet cleaner that I use throughout the year and it works well but it is still not as effective as an industrial cleaner, they did a great job and I have no problem recommending this business to my family and friends.”
